About Us

We have spent our lifetime honoring dreams, building families, creating beauty, and finding love.  

After adopting eleven children,  having six biological children (and counting a few extra as permanent family members) our family continues a wildly joyful journey.  We've traveled to Haiti on dozens of mission trips, delivered babies in the Philippines, re-roofed homes after hurricanes, became volunteer firefighter/EMT's, served in the military, worked extensively with foster care and adoption services, and have reached out to care for our friends and neighbors close to home.  We have loved every moment. Our desire, however, was for this joy and hope to be our daily focus... we didn't just want to serve here and there in the difficult moments of life; we wanted every day to be spent celebrating the moments that create magic and reveal love. 

We decided to find ways of making dreams come true.  

In this aim, we spent decades sharing the magic of hot air balloon flight and have offered more flights than any other hot air balloon company in the Midwest. We heard a lot of ooh's and aah's, saw a lot of smiles, shared a lot of excitement. Yet, we felt called to switch gears, to offer not just fun and magic but to build family and forge connections, to honor love.  So, we built a vacation rental aimed at family reunions and celebrations.  It sleeps thirty guests (up to 45 with the neighboring property) and allows for events of 100; thousands of guests have stayed with us - families fish and swim and play, relax and snuggle and laugh. They find overwhelming joy and lasting memories... we were hooked. Still, something was missing: a wedding venue, a place of endless elegance and rustic luxury, a place of peace and connection, a tiny place in the world where love is the only thing that matters. We decided to offer a place where both big, all-encompassing parties and tiny intimate, celebrations would fill the spaces, would echo through time, would last in memories created and families joined, would be forever.
